Loads of Updates

Rate this Entry
It's well past my bedtime, but a quick update to let you know Hotaru 0.8 is nearly done, and all the plugins have been updated with improvements or bug fixes.

The most significant changes are an improved default theme, options to enable, disable or uninstall all plugins in one go, the ability for moderators to access plugin settings pages, post sorting, post archiving, a sidebar comments plugin including email alerts, pagination, RSS and an "all comments" page. Plus dozens of bug fixes and minor improvements.

I might try a Recent Activity plugin to include with the 0.8 launch, but I want to move all the changes to the SVN trunk for testing by the end of the week. I'll also upload everything to the demo site so those of you without SVN access can test it, too. After testing, I'll slap a "beta" label on Hotaru and release the .zip version along with updated plugin zips.

Okay, night all!

Great work! Recent Activity will be perfect for a profile plugin.

Haven't moved it to the trunk yet Jon. You can try the 0.8 branch if you like. There's an upgrade script at /install/upgrade.php you can use for the core, but I recommend you uninstall and reinstall all the plugins since almost all of them have changed a bit.

Just caught your msg - yea I just uninstalled all plug ins and using 0.8 branch, but didn't think about the upgrade.php, Thanks!

Update: This elusive upgrade.php isn't where it should be
I looked around the SVN and didn't see it, no big deal the reinstall is fine, I had only one test post.
